You may need to make some hard decisions at the beginning of the program to ensure you achieve the rapid progress we recommend. Our primary focus is on executing a spending plan, avoiding new debt, putting money in the bank, and investing for your retirement years (and, if married, improving financial communication and partnership with your spouse). We will also give you the tools you need to eliminate debt entirely, but we have found most are not as fanatical about that as we are. ​

Maritous is a portmanteau of marital ("relating to marriage or the relationship of a married couple") and the -ous suffix ("an abundance of"). We seek to help you achieve relational harmony with your spouse and tangible financial success, both in abundance.

We are also happy to work with singles, who have full control over their financial decisions but lack the built-in accountability that a spouse provides.
